Bean and Honey helping pen some Corriente pairs. This was Bean's 3rd time on these mama cows.

Gus and Jacob penning the herd for fly tags and deworming. June 2017

Honey pushing up some weanling calves with a few calm mama cows mixed in there. October 2017

Here I needed to pass through a gate into the hay fields but the cows were in the way. I had both Gus & Honey move them off and then decided to go ahead and move the herd into another section of pasture through a wire fence gap. We had a pair separate on us but the dogs got them both in. At the end, notice how both dogs ease up on the pressure applied to the last calf. June 2017

We had a few pairs in the pens for weaning so I decided to work Gus and Honey on them. The Red Angus cow was a recent purchase and not dog broke. Gus only began barking at her when he became frustrated. October 2016.

We have a small handful of heifers mixed in with the herd that are not dog-broke. I went out to feed and took Honey with me. I'm working on getting every head of cattle in the pens when feeding and this one heifer decided to go rogue on me. Another black baldie heifer tried the same thing but Honey put her in the pen quickly before I got a chance to get my phone out. I went with Honey to retrieve the red heifer and simply told her "easy". I like the way she handled the heifer and kept the pressure off of her. After the video stops, I did send Honey back down to the gate to hold pressure with the entire group in the pens. February 2018

Just a short clip of Gus moving a few of our older pairs. August 2017

Tody suffered a major abdominal injury, a diaphragmatic hernia, November 2018. She underwent high risk surgery to have it repaired and actually died on the operating table. Here she is about 4 months post-op. She has had no training due to her young age and injury but she still makes herself a hand at feeding time. You can't beat good instincts. February 2019

Tody in January 2020 on a small group of feeder calves.

First time I had ever asked Gus to gather the cows and bring them to me.
